I think that the news that the quantity of resales are up and the median prices are down is misunderstood. These statistics describe what happens when first time buyers and investors surge into the market and start buying up the least expensive homes, which is exactly what is needed!! The median price will go up as sellers move up to more expensive homes. Sales of expensive homes has never been the problem; having someone buy your home so you can move up has been the problem.
